1. I have a daughter that will walk into the kitchen and ask, "Can we talk about amazing underwater creatures and bio-luminescense?" Yes, darlin', we sure can.
2. That time Matt Shockey, California transplant, said that he was excited to be in Texas so he could see snow, and I laughed at him because we never have quality snow in Texas. Then, like magic, we had a once in a life-time Texas snow-storm with big fat flakes, and we stood in the window of the music store and stared in wonder. That was pretty special.
3. The smell of the apple cake in my oven. If the smell is any indication, it's gonna taste delicious.
4. My brain, and all the magical things it can think.
5. The people in my life that are really important to me. That probably means you!
6. Music, and singing along.
7. Everyone that made me laugh until my stomach hurt.
8. Lengua tacos on hot corn tortillas with cilantro and onion from Michoacana. I wish I was eating one right now. Them bitches are TASTY! Especially when you use their salsa verde, the Tejano music blasts overhead, and the juice runs down your chin.
9. Hank Williams.
10. Scenic cows that make my morning and evening commute so pleasant.
11. Archaeology magazine, history nerd's periodical of choice.
12. The magic of words.
13. The clarity with which you can observe the sky in Alto, Texas, serenaded by a chorus of crickets.
14. Love. (Does this mean I'm a hippy? I hope not.)
15. Kittens, babies, and zombies.
